About Mike Wronski
Mike Wronski (B. Eng. UCT) is the managing director of Fuseware (Pty) Ltd, based in Cape Town.
A Pretoria Boys High scholar and electrical and computer engineering graduate, I spend my days architecting social media strategies and data mining for companies. Prior to going social, I worked as an electrical engineer and developer for companies such as MXit and Stone Three. In this time, I helped architect a MMORPG for mobile phones in South Africa, developed massively parallel algorithms working on thousands of processors at a time to solve tough problems, and was a major developer of MXit’s flagship online social product “EVO”.
Brand strategy and promotion is often seen as a nice to have. In a competitive market place a company’s brand profile is often the determining factor in being chosen as a supplier. The new generation of consumers are influenced by opinions and word of mouth more than before given the emergence of online social media networks. Few business leaders and marketing practitioners have the tools or understand how to effectively access this medium. The perceived size of the web in South Africa also leads to the neglect of using online media.
Fuseware develops online social media strategies and campaigns to help companies gain maximum exposure on the social networks. Additionally, we have a premier online reputation management system to help a brand track everything regarding their online social footprint. Custom made social media data mining reports are also on board, allowing brands to gain competitive edge with unique market research and insights into the minds of the online consumer.
